Maria Angela "Angelina" Cima lived, according to cemetery records, from February 22, 1896 to January 13, 1912, and is identified as the first wife of Eugene "Blondie" Bertagnolli. No obituary could be located. Blondie lived from 1883 to Novebmer 3, 1957.
A 1919 city directory places them a 411 N. Haggin Avenue in Red Lodge, with him identified as a miner for the Northwest Improvement Company (as in 1907 and 1912). The 1910 census says Eugene, 26, is a motorman (electrician) in the mines, that his Father was from Italy and his mother in Germany, that he was born in Illinois, and that his wife and her parents were born in Italy. They had no children together. Eugene remarried Josephine B. Levi on July 3, 1917; their son, Edward, was a doctor in Three Forks, MT, and he is said to have gone to Europe to research the Bertagnollis. (additional info, Alma Cima Thomas).
