Theresa married Charles Boggio and settled in St. George, Italy until Charles went to the United States. he earned passage for her and their family at that time. Tressa Boggio's brother Pete Castagne old mined near Virginia City and sent money for Boggio family to come to the US. Family lived in N. Italy 5 acres homestead still in family. Antone Castagne succumbs Friday; Bedfast 2 months John Anton Castagne was laid to rest in the Catholic section of the Red Lodge cemetery Monday morning, following funeral services held at St. Catholic Church at 10 o'clock. Rev. Father Molineaux conducted the services. Pallbearers were Chris Bronger, John Shaw, Dominic Rossetto, Louis Cerio, Emil Vagina and James Burnett. Mr. Castagen during life enjoyed the warm acquaintance of many friends in Red Lodge and surrounding country who came to join the family in the last sad rites. Mr. Castagne was born near Turin, Italy in August 1866, making him more than 64 years old at the time of death which occured at the family home in Red Lodge at 12:30 Friday morning, after an illness that had confined him to his bed for 2 months. Complications resulting from a severe attack of bronchitis was stated as cause of death. Last Fall he went ot the Mayo Sanitarium in Rochester, Minnestoa but physicians were unable to relieve or cure his ailment. He came to the United States from Italy in 1886, first settling in Clinton, Indiana. Three years later he came to Red Lodge and found work in the coal mines, but went to Butte where he married Miss Catherine Whalen in 1895. They returned to Red Lodge in 1904 and in 1908 they established a farm home 5 miles southeast of Roscoe. At various intervals Mr. Castagine ( should be Castagne)had worked in the local mines.
Frances settled in Helena, Montana. He married and had one daughter whose name was Ann.
Joseph came with Tony to America. He had red hair. He established Montana Meat Market in Red Lodge. He was killed in a mining accident.
Dominic remained in Italy. Descendents of his son Josepo are at present living in the original family home located on the Town Square in Felletto near Turin in Italy in the porvince of Peidmont.
Marietta stayed in Italy but her children came to America later.
He married Marie Anna Mautino 4 Feb 1850 at Feletto, Piemonte, Italy . Marie Anna Mautino was born at Feletto, Piemonte, Italy 26 Jul 1831 daughter of Antonio Pietro Mautino and Girolama Gedi .
