Olive Batcher questions marriage of 28 JUL, when his Will is dated 3 JUL (per
    Lancaster Co., PA, Will Abstracts 1721-1820, Vol II, pg 902). Was He ill? made
    a Will before marriage and that is why wife is not named? His Will mentioned
    Samuel and Elizabeth Simons "that is bound to mee", they being the children of
    his sister Jane. His father made him a guardian along with his brother Thomas.
    David was received into membership of Sadsbury Meeting, Chester Co., PA in
    10th month 1747.
CLIFF NEILSON, 3703 MOSS BROOKE CT., FAIRFAX, VA 22031; places birth as 1707
     based on him being co-executor of his father's 1747 Will.
the apparent late marriage of David has been confusing, as well as his Will
    written the same year as the marriage. The only clues to his birth are: He
    must have been over 21 in 1747 to be guardian of his sisters children. His
    brother Thomas was born c1709; his brother George was newly wed and died in
    1747; his brother  Robert was in VA; his brother John was newly married in MD;
    for his birth to fit with known facts of his siblings, David must have been
    born c1715.
