Historical information in notes Richard lived in Hanover Co., which was carved out of New KentCo., where he became a prosperous merchant. He is listed as aprocessioner of St. Paul's parish 1708/1743. In about 1753, Indiantroubles caused him to dispose of his land there prior to the move toNorth Carolina, where he settled on Nutbush Creek. Records show heapplied for bounty land for his services for the year 1758 in Col.Byrd's Regiment, during the French and Indian Wars. This land wasgranted on Ellibies Creek in then Orange Co., NC., which his willdirected to be sold to pay debts of his estate. Richard Bullock diedin Granville Co., NC, in 1764. His will was dated Oct. 27, 1764, andproved the next month, mentions children Sarah Sims, Agnes Williams,Zacharia, William, John, Susanna Sims, Agatha Nichols,[BO:Nathaniel:BO], and Leonard Hendley Bullock. Daughter Anna marriedto Henry Vandyck was deceased. Nathaniel was willed the landand plantation whereon Richard lived after his mother's death, as wellas half the remaining estate, Leonard receiving the other half, afterbequests to the other children. Witnesses to his will includedPhilemon Hawkins, whose daughter Fannie married his son Leonard HenleyBullock.
He married Ann Henley Dec 1710 at New Kent, Virginia . Ann Henley was born at of Surrey, Virginia 1692 daughter of Leonard Henley and Elizabeth Richardson .
