About 1673, a Dr. Return Johnson, later of Medfield, Mass. came to Andover from
Hampton, Hew Hampshire and married a niece, Mary Johnson of Andover. We hopeto sometime connect John of Ipswich and Andover with both the grandparents of
Dr. Return, also with the parents of Robert of New Haven, COnn. and to discover
where all the choldren of Hohn were born between 1635 and 1659, in which there
is a great gap in history.

Mary Johnson, eldest daughter of Thomas-is Return's eldest brother- and Mary
Holt Johnson was born
at Andover 11 Feb 1659. She barely passed her 14th year when on 17 Sept. 1673,she married Return Johnson of Andover, Mass.
Return took the oath of allegiance in Andover 11 Feb 1678.
