       Aaron Gaines (son of James Gaines and wife Margaret Clore) was bornSept. 19, 1821.  He served in the C.S.A. in the Civil War, was wounded at the battle of Atlanta, July 22, 1864, carried as a prisioner to Camp Chase, Ohio, where he died Feb. 5, 1865 as a POW.
