NOTE FROM BACK:  1. He Obtained his early education in public schools and
prepared for college at Johnstown Academy.
2. He prepared for college - so thoroughly and well - he was able to enter
Sophomore class at Union College in 1872, graduated A.B. in 1875.
3. Wanted to become a Lawyer - He read and studied during summers before
entering law school.
4. Entered Albany Law School and graduated L.L.B. in 1876 - admitted to N.Y.
Bar - 17 May 1876.
5. 1 Jan 1877 - became one of firm of Dudley, Dennison and Dudley.
6. In 1882 - the firm narrowed to Father and Son only - Dennison had been
appointed deputy attorney of NY State.
7. After his father died - he continued alone until 1 Sept. 1904 - then he
admitted his nephew - Alfred Dudley Dennison, as partner.
8. Firm has always had high standing - they were lawyers and also law writers -
"Literary Wooks."
9. His broad, enlightened mind covers a variety of interests.
10. Greatly interested in work of the Humane Society - Pres. of it.
11. Member of Presbyterian Church - serves as Deacon.
12. Served on Board of Education - 6 yrs.
13. 1908 - Became a trustee of Union University - his Alma Mater.
14. Became in the Masonic Order - thirty, second degree - Ancient and accepted
Scottish Rite.
15. He is Past Master of St. Patrick's Lodge No. 4, Free and accepted Masons -
belonged to severed groups.
16. He is a member of Johnstown Historical Society.
17. Member of the Empire State Society of the Sons of the American Revolution.
18. His social club is the Colonial - of which he has been pres.
19. Politically - he is a Republican.
