WILLIS, Charles R., 3 Jan 1997; WINSLOW genealogy, Chart 8 of Allen Ogden shows
Polly WELLS to have died after 1880, Kingsbury Co. New York.  Charles Willis
reports it was passed down from several sources that there is an Indian in the
WELLS family.  Some say it was Polly (WELLS) WINSLOW.  A picture of her
daughter Sarah (WINSLOW) VAUGHN does have a distinct Indian look.  Willis is of
the opinion that the Indian is probably Polly WELLS' mother Mary (?) WELLS.
Willis followed the census on Polly (WELLS) WINSLOW untill 1880 where she was
92 years old; she never showed up after that.
WEISER, Gloria, 3 Jan 1997; WINSLOW ANCESTRY records, report Polly WELLS noted
as Mary in some records, born 1789 Washington County, according to census
married 8 Sept 1805, Queensbury, Warren County, New York, Commissioner of
Peace, William Robards, Jr.
