No documentations has been proven who Stephen's parents were, but there is a stone in a cemetery for Joseph WINSLOW, a Revolutionary War soldier who was married to Polly WELLS in Queensbury, New York, and by the date of their marriage it is quite possible to have had the son, Stephen. Joseph WINSLOW came from Dutchess Co., New York. The census shows the couple had childrn, but the number and names were unknown.
