                   Served in the Civil war from 1862 till its close, and participated in many of the principal battles. He was in the 3 day fight at Gettysburg, and with General Sherman on his march through GA. He was Capt. of Co.G-147th, Regt.PA.V.I. After the war he engaged in the lumbar business at Williamsport,PA. He was a member of the "Loyal Legion" of PA.
