Notes:
One of the most prominent men in Donegal township, where he was said to have settled as early as 1724. His farm was called "Fulton's Choice", or "Fulton's Pleasure", adjoined that of John Allison, Esq., and was 2 or 3 farms away from that of his father-in-law, in the direction of the Donegal Church.
Occupation: Land surveyor, farmer and for some time he also served as a justice of the peace.
Will: Made 17 Feb 1760, and probated 1 Apr 1760.
It is probable that Samuel Fulton had daughters also, but no trace of them couldbe found.

*** There is no proof that Robert Fulton, the inventor, was related to him. Robert Fulton was born in Little Britain Township in 1765 and he died in 1815.

*** The Fultons of Washington COunty, PA. were probably descendants of Samuel Fulton of Donegal.
