Notes:
BUR Iowa City Catholic Cemetery The "Statement of Heirs" in Conrad V's estate records gives the following list: Frank Peter Allwine, son, age 28, residing in Coralville, Johnson Co., Ia. John J. Allwine, son, age 26, residing in Iowa City, Ia. William J. Allwine, son, age 23, residing in Coralville, Johnson Co., Ia. Rosa Allwine, daughter, age 21, residing in Iowa City, Ia. According to the court documents, Frank had purchased certain properties owned by Conrad V before his death. In the settlement John received $25, Rose and William each received $200 and Frank got the personal property. It was clear that Conrad had been a farmer, given the nature of the personal property left to Frank: 3 horses, 3 cows, 1 calf, 40 hogs, 400 bushels of corn in the crib, 25 bushels of cane seed, a two-horse wagon, a buggy, a corn planter, a harrow, 2 corn plow cultivators, one stirring plow, one riding stirring plow, a mower, a hay rake, a feed cooker, and a double harness set. It made sense for Frank to get this property, as he apparently lived in Coralville and farmed some.
