Walter E. Rodgers, Hillsboro, VA, a former resident of near Abbottstown, died Sat afternoon at 3 oclock in a hospital in Winchester, VA, following a week's illness from streptococcus infection. He was aged 52 years. Mr. Rodgers was a son ofA.H. and Eliza Heilman Rodgers, near Abbottstown.
Surviving besides his parents are his wife; eight children, Mildred, Lindbergh, Shirley and Geraldine, at home; Romaine, John, Paul and Earl, all of near Hillsboro; three grandchildren and the following sisters and brother, Mrs. Margie Hoke, near Abbottstown; Ammon Rodgers, near Littlestown;  Mrs. Claude Auchey, near Hanover; Mrs. Charles Baker and Earl Rodgers, both of near Abbottstown; Mrs. GlenNoel and Clarence Rodgers,
Funeral Wed, interment was made in teh Lutheran cemetery at Abbottstown.
He had a wife and three children.

Paul Revere Rodgers, 90, of Hillsboro, who worked for Kemp Electric for 39 years, died Jan. 13 in Loudoun Hospital Center at Lansdowne.
He was born Oct. 4, 1914, in Adams County, Pa., to the late Walter and Myra Rodgers. He was a member of Hillsboro United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mable T. Rodgers of Hillsboro; two sons, Paul L. Rodgers and Steven D. Rodgers, both of Hillsboro; a daughter, Sharon Turney of Loomis, Calif.; a brother, Floyd L. Rodgers of Purcellville; two sisters; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.Mr. Rodgerswas buried Saturday in Hillsboro Cemetery.Memorials may be sent to Hillsboro United Methodist Church, c/o Rev. Ralph Buddenhagen, 178 Wadesville Road, Berryville, VA 22611.Arrangements were by Hall Funeral Home of Purcellville.
