Name was spelled as Rebbert in the Gaulladet papers. Could be Jonas N, H, or W. 1889 - he was a pupil at a Philadelphia school apparently for the deaf. Living with his parents in 1880 in Penn, York, PA. 1900 - living in Heidelberg. Rebecca, his mother was there. 1920 - living in Hanover, he was a helper in a furniture factory. There was another 1900 census that had him as Jonas W. It was the same family 1930 - he and Katie were living with Bessie. 1934 - I think that he was mentioned in a newspaper article. Minnie was there also. The deaf survey said he had 4 brothers and three sisters, one who was deaf. It says the deafness occured at age 21, cause of deafness was scarlet fever. He lived in Hanover, PA. He was admitted to Gaulladet at age 22, in 1877. He residedin Hanover and was a farmer. ???York County, Pennsylvania, 1800-56: Emmanuel's Reformed Church about Jonas Revert Name: Jonas Revert Description: Father Event: Baptism Remarks: Parents are sponsors.
