He was a resident physician at the Blockley Hospital and Alms House in Philadelphia, and afterwards at the Wills Ear and Eye Hospital, in the same city. He was a noted Eye Specialist and practiced in Pittsburg.
He resided in Pittsburgh at 4131 Bigelow Boulevard.
