Probably named for David Louis Morel, who sold land to Obed Fahnestock.
William, in 1835, published an historical sketch of Ephrata, PA, witha
concise account of the German 7th Day Baptist community, of which he was
a prominent member. He often preached in Ephrata. He was a life member
of the 7th Day Baptist Missionary Society, and vice-president of the
American Sabbath Tract Society, and director of the 7th Day Baptist
Publishing House at little Genesee, NY.
