David CRAWFORD
Burial site is in lot"A old 32.". Death reported in the Hollidaysburg Register, Mar 12, 1890. He lived his entire life near Newry, PA. The article said that he lived in Greenfield Township.
Named in father's will of 21 Aug 1824. I saw her headstone in the cemetary. It had 2? Apr 1803, died, Sep 26 (??)1856.
Named Jr. to distinguish him from his uncle (David's brother). His death was reported in the Canal and Portage Register, Dec 28, 1836. He was known as Captain William Crawford, longtime wharfmaster/harbormaster in Pittsburgh at the time of his death. Burial site is Section 22, Lot 28. There are some LeFevres there also.
The headstone says 6/2/1800 - 16 jul 1872. This doesn't make much sense if the mother was born in 1803. I gor Mary's information off of the headstone.
His death date is before his marriage date. Of near Hollidaysburg.
He worked at Shoenberger's after 1856.
Appeared in the household of William Jr. in Pittsburgh during the 1850 census. His death was reported in the Altoona Tribune of 5 Dec 1901.
