Headstone says Johnnes Emig 27th of Han 1780 , 28th Mer 1812. Sealed to Eve SPENGLER(mother, which spelling is right??). Called John Emig (the younger) in his father's will. Got land from the PA commonwealth on 16 Apr 1839. Sold to John Loucks in 1840.
Tombstone in German. She is next to her husband, who is next to his father and step mother. Tombsone says Emich, but the husband and father-in-law say Emig. One IGI file has her birthdate as 25 Jan 1781.
Found her in the will. She was married as Margaret Emig. She was in the 1850 census as Margaret.
Her father called her Eliza in his will.
She is called Cassa in her father's will. Someone is IGI has a birthdate of 1 Oct 1804. This actually makes more sense. But, why was she christened on 22 Feb 1823?
Headstone Said: Matilda, wife of John, Nov 18, 1896, 79 - 9- 10.
I had this name as Christina, but the will names her as Cressana. She was named in her father's will. She is noted as lame, sounds like a hemi. I originally had her as Christina, but the dates matched. Never married. She always had a guardian, at times it was Michael Leib, her brother in law.
He married Anna Maria Eyster 4 Apr 1800 at York, York, Pennsylvania . Anna Maria Eyster was born at West Manchester, York, Pennsylvania 24 Jan 1780 daughter of Elias Eyster and Anna Maria Lau .
