Irene S. Hoffman, 89, 256 Frederick St., Hanover, died Tues at the Hanover General hospital.
Born in Spring Grove, she was the daughter of the late Nelson Keeney and Lillie Stauffer. She was the wife of the late Harry A, Hoffman who died Oct 14, 1979.
She was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Hanover.
Surviving are two daughters, Geraldine Hirt, 90 Herr's Ridge Road, Gettysburg, and Margaret H. Little, Colorado SPrings, CO. 11 grandchildren; 13 great greandchildren and one sister, Ada S. Markle, Palm Harbor, FL.
Memorial services Sat, private graveside services will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.

Geraldine H. Hirt, 84, Gettysburg, formerly of Hanover, died Wed morning, Oct 27, 2004, at Gettysburg hospital. She was the wife of thelate Robert E. Hirt who died in Jul 1980.
Born in Hanover on Nov 27, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Harry A. and Irene Stauffer Hoffman.
Mrs. Hirt was a member of the Gettysburg Presbyterian Church, a life member of the Gettysburg library, a life member and former board member of the Hanover Hospital Auxillary, and a former board member and Secretary of the Hanover VNA.
She graduated from Eichelberger HS with the cvlass of 1937.

Surviving is her daughter Jessica Hirt Canale, and husband Michael P. of Renshaw Bay, and two grandsons.

Also preceeding her in death were her sisters Gertrude Hollinger, Mary Miller and Margaret Little.
A memorial service will be held on Sat. Intered at Mount Olivet cemetery, Hanover.
