                   There is  a Charles W. Spangler  in New Oxford with a Mary E. I wonder if this is ours?  He was born about  1874. His wife was bron about 1887. They had been married a year.
He operated a garage.
He was paralyzed in Jun 1955.

Ellen (I had E.) came from Spangler/Spengler Family Tree.  This tree also had her borth date as 13 Apr 1887. I got the death date and the family information from this tree also.
1934 - lived in Harrisburg.
1955 - living in Harrisburg.


1955 - had 7 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

                   1909 she was with her grandmother Mrs. John Spangler. She was from New Oxford.
1909, Miss Phoebe Spangler, daughter of Mr. Charles Spangler, of New Oxford, spent last week with her grandparents, Mt. and Mts. E.J. Hoffman (edward). That might be the maiden name of John Spangler's wife.
Phoebe Spangler was at a party for  Mrs. Charles Little's birthday in 1915.  Mr. and Mrs. Charles Spangler were there also.
1923 - her wedding annoucement said that she was the aughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Spangler, Harrisburg, formerly of New Oxford.
1931 - Aug 20 -lived in Mechanicsburg.  This said that Phoebe was from New Oxford before her marriage.

May not be theirs- the Charles M. and Mary E. in York county, did not have any kids in 1910.
The family with Pheobe lived in Harrisville, and were obviously married before 1909.

9/15/09 - I am confused. I know that Pheobe was at the party mentioned above, with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Spangler.
The Pheobe Spangler in the census with a Mary and Charles for parents were living in Harrisville, with Ethel. Those parents were in about 1874 and abt 1888. Which matched our Mary Ellen. It does not match the current Charles 1878.
That also makes the 14 Mar 1909 marriage look a little weird.
