HARRY E. RENTZEL
Harry E. Rentzel, 64 , husband of Mrs. Elmira M. Gross Rentzel, died Monday at 9:55 a.m. at his home in Weigelstown.
Mr. Rentzel had been employed for 24 years at York Division of Borg-Warner Corporation. He was a member of Lower Bermudian Church of the Brethren and Weigelstown Fire Co. He was born in Dover, son of the late Paul E. and Annie B. Henry Rentzel.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Penelope M. Reider, Dover; four sons, Dean P., Shiloh; Gary C., Tucson, Ariz.; Paul R., York R. 8; Donald R., Fremont, CA; 15 grandchildren, five great grandchildren;  five step grandchildren; four stepgreatgrandchildren; three brothers, Stuart A., Dover RR 5; Ralph H., Dover R 1; and Allen H., York; four sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Kehm, Thomasville R.a; Mrs. Ruth Stough, Wellsville; Mrs. Catherine Eisenhour, York, and Mrs. Phyllis Livingston, Dover.
Rev. Dallas D. Lehman, pastoe, will officate at the funeral services Thurs at 2 p.m;. at  Lower  bermudian Church of the Brethern. Burial will be in Salem Union Cemetery, near Dover.

   Rentzel H. AllenYORK Allen H. Rentzel, 90, of Spring Garden Township, died Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Mary L. (Smyser) Rentzel. The couple celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary on May 2, 2011. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York Township. Funeral Cortege will form at the main gate of the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. Full military Honors will be provided by York County  Honor Guard at the start of the service. The Rev. Barry Stough will be officiating at the service. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road in York, is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Rentzel was born in Dover, on July 7, 1920, a son of the late Paul E. and Annie B. (Henry) Rentzel. He worked for many years in roofing and siding and then retired from Fincor Corporation where he worked for 16 years. He served in the 9th Armor Division in the U.S. Army . He loved fishing, camping, gardening, and metal detecting on the beach. Along with his wife, Mr. Rentzel leaves a son, Ron E. Rentzel and his wife, Suzanne of York; a daughter, Sandy A. Lutz and her husband, Nathan of Lewes, Del.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two sisters, Phyllis Livingston and Catherine Eisenhower, both of Dover; and nieces and nephews.
