1880 - he was A.J. He was living next to Jonathan and Ida (Brother - in- law). He was a buggy trimmer.
1900 - he was John A. in Columbus, OH. He was a buggy trimmer. His parents were from KY.
1920 - he went by Jonathan A. he was a widower. Joseph lived with him. He was in Columbus Ward 2. Here it says his parents were from OH. He was a trimmer in a factory.

There was a Jonathan A. Vance who died on 21 Dec 1920 in Franklin County, OH. Columbus is in Franklin County, so this was probably him. I am assuming it is such.

Notes:
Birth Records of Knox, OH, have him as Charley Vance.
Not sure about the Charles E. Vance who married a Dell Stinemetz on 14 Apr 1898, in Knox County. Can't find them anywhere else.

1900 - living with parents in Columbus, OH. He was a machinist. He was single. I officially lose him after that.

This one matches.....almost. Birthdate is about a year off.
I doubt it 11/15/09 - in the 1930 census - his parents were both born in PA. Our Charles's parents were both born in OH.
