1870 - he was Agnew. He was a carriage trimmer. 1880 - he was A.J. He was living next to Jonathan and Ida (Brother - in- law). He was a buggy trimmer. 1900 - he was John A. in Columbus, OH. He was a buggy trimmer. His parents were from KY. 1920 - he went by Jonathan A. he was a widower. Joseph lived with him. He was in Columbus Ward 2. Here it says his parents were from OH. He was a trimmer in a factory. There was a Jonathan A. Vance who died on 21 Dec 1920 in Franklin County, OH. Columbus is in Franklin County, so this was probably him. I am assuming it is such.

1870 - Mt. Vernon 1880 - Mt Vernon 1900 - Columbus, ward 15, Franklin, Ohio One child wasn't alive in 1900. 1920 - her husband was a widower. So, we can assume she had died by then.
11/15/09 - I officially lose her in the family after 1880. * There was a Minnie Vance born about a year earlier, father was William Vance. They lived in Pomeroy, Meigs, OH.
1880 - She was 8 at the time of the census. 1900 - living with parents in Columbus. She was single with no children. She was a buggy top sticker. There is a Maud Vance who died in Franklin County on 25 Nov 1918. The birth record is for a female, born 6 Mar 1872. Could there have been twins?? This one is not named.
Probably was the one who died before 1900.
Birth Records of Knox, OH, have him as Charley Vance. Not sure about the Charles E. Vance who married a Dell Stinemetz on 14 Apr 1898, in Knox County. Can't find them anywhere else. 1900 - living with parents in Columbus, OH. He was a machinist. He was single. I officially lose him after that. This one matches.....almost. Birthdate is about a year off. I doubt it 11/15/09 - in the 1930 census - his parents were both born in PA. He was an intake tender at the RR. 1900 census has his birthdate as Jun 1879. Draft registration has May 10, 1879. I took the draft registration. He was living at 591 Hamlet, Columbus Ohio. He was an intake tender at the Union .... His relative was John A. Vance, same address. He had brown hair and brown eyes.
He married Matilda Graff 19 Feb 1868 at Knox, Ohio . Matilda Graff was born at OH Jun 1851 daughter of Jonathan Graff and Matilda Bargett .
