Signed first receipts as schoolmaster in 1789. Perhaps appointed in 1776 when Hoffman resigned as school master. Johann Doll, schoolmaster, died 10/16/1807 aged 71 - 2- 4 of a "einer Schmerzhaften Krankheit" Counted in Lancaster Borough Lancaster CO PA 1790 Page 137 - Three Centuries of Dolls.
Record from the Salem Reformed Church in Harrisonburg, PA. Burial information states that she left 6 sons and one daughter. Burial by Rev. Philip Gloniger.

Jacob was a gunsmith who built .50 caliber flintlock rifles in York, PA. President Washington ordered enough to fir out four battalions of riflemen and the guns were supplied for $10 apiece. This type of rifle was known as the Kentucky rifle and was popular until about the 1830's. Jacob was married in York. York Co. Dept of Veterans Affairs Allowances and Burial Record says that Jacob was in the war of 1812. Series 6 Vol 8 p. 1383.
