Charles e WOLFERSBERGER
Charles spent most of his younger years in the Campbelltown farming and attending school. At the age of 17 he went to Cumberland County, PA where he laerned the trade of shoemaker, serving three year as apprentice and two years as journey work. In 1851 he moved to IL and for several months he worked at his trade in Princeton, IL. In 1851 he bought a farm in Berlin Township, removed to it the following spring. In 1867 he built on his present farm in Princeton Township, N. E. quarter, Section 1, where he probably resided until his death. He also owned the N. E quarter, section 6, in Selby Township. He married in Cumberland County, PA, 20 august 1894 to Susanna FAHNESTOCK. She was born in the same county 17 Feburary 1830. Her father Dr. Samuel FAHNESTOCK died when she was 18 months old. Both Samuel and his wife, Sarah N. COLIER, were natives of Cumberland County, PA. Charles and Susanna were the parents of ten children. Charles was a Republican. He and his wife were members of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Malden, IL. The records of Charles and his family are from the History of Bureau County, IL page 700 which was issued after 1874. He married Susanna Fahnestock 21 Aug 1849 at Dauphin, Dauphin, Pennsylvania . Susanna Fahnestock was born at Campbelltown, Lebanon, Pennsylvania 17 Feb 1830 daughter of Derick Fahnestock and Catharine Frees .
