On April 2, 1700, the Accomack County Court took this action. ThreeConstables who had served a great time asked to be discharged from theirposition. The board appointed Richard Hickman to replace RichardGreenald, Ralph Justice to replace John Bloxum, Sr. and William Burton toreplace Edmund Allen. The new Constables were ordered to go to thenearest Magistrate to be sworn. This is on page 90 of the Court Record.
