JAMES ADRIAN BURNETT April, 1913- October 21, 1913

Jim passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 21, 2000 at the Boyne Lodge in Carman, Manitoba.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Helen of 60 years: his sister Irma (John) Hillis, his two daughters Pat (Whitney) Buggey and Donna Burnett, grandchildren Bryan (Ashely) Buggey, Valri Buggey, Greg (Celia) Burnett, six great-grandchildren; Meagan and Melanie Buggey, Matthew Gagnon, Brooke, Darla, and Kyra Burnett, and all his nieces and nephews, and friends.
He was predeceased by his two sisters, Margaret Burnett and Jean Murta.
Jim was born and raised in Graysville, MB., where he was an astute businessman and farmer. He was well respected by everyone who knew him. As well as farming, he raised cattle, was involved as manager in the feeder cattle co-ops, raised horses, did hail adjusting, sold hail insurance, acted as arbitrator for the Manitoba Provincial crop insurance program, sold mortgages and investments, and had his own real estate business.
Jim was a people person. He was a good listener and always took an interest in others. Because of this, he always gave sound advice when asked by family and friends. Jim loved a challenge and enjoyed travel. His rich sense of humour was ever present. He was a loving and supportive husband, father and grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Jim always believed one should lead their life according to the golden rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. This is how Jim lived his life.
The family wishes to extend sincere and heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Carmen Boyne Lodge for the consideration and care tha tthey gave Jim during the past year.
A service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday October 25 at the Graysville United Church at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Val Cottrill officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Harrison, Fred Orchard, and Jack Hirst.
Memorial donations may be made to the Boyne Lodge, Box 1644 Carman, MB ROG 0J0.
Doyle's Funeral Chapel of Carman in care of arrangements.

(This is the end of the William Burnett family in Canada - grandchildren remain but not Burnett name. Malcolm said his mother Glady Dwar and Helen were roommates when first started as teachers.) Written by Wilma Boggio
