                   RESEARCH NOTE:
    A note on New FamilySearch by Lee Farnsworth stated that there is no Finecreek or Pinecreek located in England, the locality commonly listed as George's birthplace.  He suggested that the place might be Pencraig, but searched (fhl#992,322) for that hamlet in Marston Parish and did not locate his christening there.  Further research is recommended.
    The 1861 and 1881 Censuses show George Scott listing Goodridge, Hereford as his birthplace.
    On the 1861 census, Martha H Cresswell is 2 yrs old, listed as "daughter-in-law", inferring that she is not his biological daughter.
    Also, some pedigrees show Samuel Faulkner as the father of Martha Cresswell Scott, rather than George Scott.

                   RESEARCH NOTE:
    A note on New FamilySearch by Lee Farnsworth concerning Mary Ann Cresswell states that there is no evidence she was born this day and her baptism does not appear in the Sedgley Parish Registers, FHL #435839. Her death certificate does list this day, however. Parents listed on the death certificate are --- Cresswell and Elizabeth Cox.  Further research is recommended.

Immigration was shown on some websites as 1885 (not confirmed).
