Richard Timothy KENNEDY
Note: emigrated from Ireland in 1872 age 14 in 1865 served for 6 yrs as an apprenticeship in Kilkenny, his first job in Buffalo, to San Francisco, then to Berkeley in Kilkenny he belonged to St. Mary the Assumption parish. The family were close to their parish priest (Father Hickey) at St. Michael's in Mullinahone, who took great interest in the children after the death of their parents. went to work at P. Todd Burn's & Co. in Dublin from Mar 20 to Sep 6 1871 in Fall landed in Quebec where they disembarked and the group of Irishman who came together, went to work in Port Hope, Ontario but before christmas, they then went to Buffalo. Richard found work at Barnes & Bancroft, a department store on Main St. Note: Mullinahone is the Roman Catholic parish in Kilvemnon civil parish in Tipperary South Riding. Register starts in 1809
