Elisha G. COCKERHAM

                   Elisha being the eldest son in the vicinity was designated to complete the
disposition of the estate of his mother, and was also made guardian of the
minor children.  He developed a stomach ailment and died while at a mineral
springs resort in the vicinity called "Coopers Wells"  He did not marry again
and left no children by his marriage. (After the death of his mother there were
3 items of expense which were incurred quite often which were: a gallon of
whiskey, a box of cigars, and calosel (sp). He died at the age of 26 of stomach
