the SouthWest part of Noxubee County, Mississippi. They had 7 children.

In 1855 Elizabeth Cockerham Stewart married John Hardin of neighboring Kemper
County. One son was born. After the Civil War there was mass migrations from
Miss. to Texas, and reportedly because of lack of congeniality between John
Hardin and the Stewart sons, Elizabeth sold her land, and the whole family
moved to the area of Texas in which she died thirty years later.
