PIONEER:
Member of William Snow / Joseph Young Company. Arrived in Utah 1-4 Oct, 1850.

MARRIAGE:
Several marriages have been listed for Lucius which may not have taken place. They may have been mistakes, or may have been posthumous sealings. EarlyLDS.com gives the following statement: "Two other wives are mentioned in the Life Story of Lucius Nelson Scovil by June Barton Bartholemew, p 5. The women's names are Emma Whaley and Elizabeth Turner. It states that little is known of either of them, however, it does give Emma's birth date. It is the opinion of the Nauvoo Lands and Records Office that these marriages were never performed. See the above record and also Our Pioneer Heritage record."

                   RESEARCH NOTE:
Lura Snow was also known as Lucy Snow, not to be confused with Lucia Snow, her sister. Family records and LDS sources have often confused the two, though original sealing records from the Nauvoo Temple confirm that Lucius Scoville's wife was Lura Snow.
Lura and her siblings were first cousins to Lorenzo Snow who became the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
