at the time.  She was cheating on him so he took their son Antonino
and returned to Italy from the USA.  They had 13 children together.
Only 3 survived to adulthood--Rosina, Francesca & Nicolo.  After
Rose  died in the USA they still didn't marry but she carried his name.
When they (Pasqua & Nunzio) first sailed for the USA they were sent
back to Italy because her brother and sister-in-law wouldn't  sponsor
them because they weren't married.  When they tried a second time,
they sailed ti New Orleans instead of New York.  Nunzio had pink
eye so they jumped ship to go to a MD and then went to San Jose, CA.
This time, the Cali family sponsored them.  The Cali family is
related to us because Pietra La Barbera Burriesci has a sister who
married Cali.
