NOTES:
    Citizenship 1852.  Michael Hines had a timber claim.  Lived in sod house on N.E. of 32-24-21which was in Hodgeman County.  Michael came out in a covered wagon from Ohio.  he was in the Civil War and was shot in the back when he was 17 and the bullet was still in his back when he died at the age of 83.  He was living in Ellinwood at the time of his death.

                   NOTES: 
    Anthony Hines homesteaded and moved to a new house in 1902.  Anthony worked on the railroad as a cook at the Harvey Houses from Chicago to LaJunta, Co.  He married Mary Regnier in Chicago, July 12, 1892.  Five children, Teresa, Nettie, Annie, Clara and Joe were born in Chicago.  They all came to Ford county in March, 1902.  They lived with Michael Hines in the sod house while their house was being built on the homesteaded land.  Margaret and Bill were born in Kansas.  After Mary Hines died Jan 2, 1906, Anthony and family continued to live on the farm until Joe got married then Anthony moved to town.  Anthony Hines married Lena Goodfeller born Jan 13, 1868 on Jan 16, 1930.  She died May 8, 1934 at San Diego California.
