                   Although married for 5 years when in his 40's, Ben spent most of his life as a bachelor.  He was the tallest of the family (6'7"), and was the most successful.  He was responsible for helping out the other members of the family.  His best friend and constant companion during the last 15 years of his life was a black Cocker Spaniel named Pepper.  Pepper died just 3 weeks before his owner.
