Jacob STRONG

                   Alice Fish Walsh was the 2nd wife of Jacob Strong.  She was baptized in England and came with her husband William Walsh to the United States.  They joined the Martin Handcart Company and came across the plains with them.  Her husband froze to death at Devil's standing watch against Indians and was buried in a common grave with 11 other men.  Alice survived and was rescued by the rescue party gathered at Conference and sent by Brigham Young.  She was taken in by Jacob Strong and his wife and became his 2nd wife.
