In his will, written 23 Jul 1698, William Anderson named a wife Mary; daughters Naomi, w/o Francis Makemie, and Comfort, w/o Elias Taylor; granddaughters Elizabeth, Naomi and Comfort Taylor, daughters of Comfort and Elias Taylor; sisters (-----) Barns, (-----) Hope, (-----) Nock and Comfort Scott; nephews Anderson Parker, Thomas Parker, Matthew Parker and William Parker; nephew William Hope s/o George and Temperance Hope (assumed to be the (-----) Hope sister); and brother(in-law) George Hope (Acc Co Wills &c. 1692-1715(xi), p. 209). The full text of his will is in "The Life Story of Rev. Francis Makemie," pp. 109-115. It is not clear if the sisters were his full or half sisters, as they were not named in the will of his father, Garrett Anderson, in 1648, nor in his mother's will (then Amy Fowkes) in 1678.
