I saw some information you posted on Ancestry that seems related to research that I am doing.
Name: James H. Yardley Birth Date: 1833 and
Mary Magdalene Huffman are my great-great-grandparents.
I do have information on them. How are you related to them.

Here is a little info on James and Mary (Huffman) Yardley.

James H. Yardley was born March 03, 1833 in Rutherford Co., TN and died June 29, 1907 in San Saba, TX
His parents: Thomas Newton Yardley the 1st and (2nd wife) Martha Mary Ann "Polly" (Cox)
Married: November 11, 1858 in Clark Co., Arkansas
Mary Magdalene Huffman was born May 1840 in Arkansas and died after the year 1910 in TX
Her parents: Elias Huffman and her birth mother is unknown

James and Mary Yardley had three children

1.Elias William (E. W.) Yardley born Sept. 1859 in Arkansas and died Jan. 20, 1924 in Sweetwater, TX
He married Nancy Elizabeth "Lizzie" Pace on Sept. 10, 1885 in Sweetwater, TX
She was born December 11, 1862 in Arkansas and died August 6, 1936 in Sweetwater, TX
Their children:
(female) Stella Yardley born about 1888 in Hylton, TX, Nolan Co.  died in TX
(male)  Elioth William Nathon Yardley born Jan. 17, 1892 in Hylton, TX,  Nolan Co.
(female) Cleveland  W. Yardley born March 14, 1897 in Hylton, TX, Nolan Co.
(female) McKinley Yardley born Feb. 08, 1901 in Hylton, TX, Nolan Co.


2. Narcissus  A. Yardley   no birth or death date
She married (1st husband) L. D. Rivers on May 29, 1887 in Tom Green Co., TX
           they had one son James Valley Rivers born Feb. 1890 in Sweetwater, TX
Married (2nd husband) Louis Bendon on Sept. 30, 1895 in Nolan Co., TX
             they had one son Albert Bendon born Jan. 1899 in Nolan Co., TX

3. No info available on third child
I know they had three children because on the 1900 census Mary said she was the mother of three children and of these children only two were still alive.

Thomas Newton the 1st was married to his 1st wife Margaret Warren and they had four children. One of those children was John Washington Armstrong Yardley. John Yardley and James Yardley are half brothers.
John Yardley married Sarah Fulks Dec. 1842. John was killed in a riding accident Oct. 1855. Sarah moves back to Arkansas after John's death to be with her family. On Jan. 10, 1858, Sarah remarries. Her new husband is Elias Huffman.
On Nov. 11, 1858 in the home of Elias and Sarah Fulks, Elias daughter Mary Magdalene marries James H. Yardley and
Sarah's daughter Mary Jane Yardley marries Thomas Nesbitt.

Last information obtained on Mary Magdalene was in the April 10, 1910 census. She was living with her daughter-in-law Nancy "Lizzie" in San Saba, TX.
I have tried to find out when and where Mary might have died and was buried but so far I have had no luck.

I do have more info on all these people.

                   Frank Eugene Whitlock
Hi, I am glad to see someone researching this person. His mother was Amanda Madora Huffman d/o Robert Crittenden Huffman and Nancy Wingfield. Looks like to me Robert Crittenden Huffman was an uncle to John William Huffman I do not have Frank Eugene's father. I am researching these people because of a good friend of mine, Kenneth Thrasher. He lives in Glen Rose now but use to live in Arkansas. Mary Ann Million
