Top of Cumberland Mountain near Wolfden Branch where it pitches off the cliff 16 Apr 1859. Wit: Carroll Fults and J.M. Cunningham. Deed Books G,H.I, and J nil for Cowan (thr 1903) [All the above indicates that Moses received most of Stewart's land, that he sold the 5000 A to Wm. Cunningham in 1852, then Eliza sold hte 5000 A back to Moses in 1859. I would suspect that Eliza was another sister of Moses and that her husband Wm. Cunningham had died between 1852 and 1859. Also, Moses dies without heirs of hte body and that his brothers and sisters who would by law inherit his estate are unknown to the court in the late 1880's when the land is sold for taxes. -BMM] Terry Cowan Document #35 Grundy County, TN Records searched: County Court Minute Books A (1844-1854), B (1855-1859), C (1860-1866), D (1866-1872) Grundy County Will Books 1 and 2 (thru 1914).
