                   NOTE: Lewis Saunsoci (Saunsosee) was a teacher at an Indian School in Pottawattamie County, Iowa.  He also acted as an Interpreter for his Tribe the OMAHAAS, with the United States. On March 16, 1854, he was called to Washington D.C. to act as an Interpreter and Witness a Treaty with the OMAHAS and the United States.  He was called again to Washington D. C. to act as a Witness & Interpreter 6 Mar 1865. (Ref Q-920.073 UN3i Vol 9:185)  When he went East he wanted his wife and children to go with him but they declined.
Lewis & Rebecca were pioneers to Utah in 1852, with Capt Thomas C. D. Howell Company

BIRTH: from Patriarchal Blessing of Lewis Saunsoce; his father was Franklin Saunosoci.  The name maybe spelled Saunsosee also.
