    "Jane Rusk was born near Derry, Ireland, in 1770, and died in Franklin Co.,
PA after 1836. She released quit claim for right of dower to her son, Robert
and his siblings in 1836 [ahk]. She was the daughter of Mary Glendening and ?
Rusk. Jane arrived in Philadelphia, PA in 1770 when 12 weeks old, after a 6
week voyage from Belfast with her recently widowed mother, Mary Rusk, and
bachelor uncle, Alexander Glendening. They settled in Franklin Co., PA, on a
farm bordering Walter McKinnie's. (Jane's father became sick and died as they
were preparing to emigrate to America). [bj]
    On 26 APR 1806, Jane McKinnie, John McCullough, and John Finley were granted
Letters of Administration for the estate of Walter McKinnie with James McKinnie
and James McCoy as sureties. On 13 OCT 1808, Jane was granted Letters of
Administration for estate of Adam Rusk (who may have been her brother-in-law).
John McCullough may have been Walter's b-i-l and husbnd of his sister, Mary.

    Jane's uncle Alexander Glendening died in FEB 1812, and his will was probated
on 8 APR 1812. He named his niece's (Jane McKinnie) sons, Robert, Adam, Josiah,
and James McKinnie, and his sister, Mary Rusk in his will.
