    Hazel Glessner; "Reference is made to your letters in which you request
    information in regard to Robert Stockton, soldier of the War of 1812, First
    Lt, 28th U.S. Inf., 20 MAY 1813 and resigned 1 AUG 1813.  It is shown from the
    records of this office that Robert Stockton was commissioned 1st Lt, 20 MAY
    1813, served in Capt. Johnston Magowan's Co., 28th Reg., U.S. Inf., and
    resigned 1 AUG 1813.  Robert Stockton married 14 NOV 1816, in Bath Co, KY,
    Maria F. Morrow, the d/o Robert Morrow, name of her mother not given; they
    were married at the home of her father.  Robert Stockton d. 8 SEP 1830 at
    Licking Forge, Bath Co., KY. The date and place of his birth are not shown,
    nor are the names of his parents given.  The Widow, Maria F. Stockton, was
    allowed bounty land, on her application executed 27 JAN 1851, at which time
    she was residing in Fleming Co., KY, aged 51 years "in May next". Her father
    Robert Morrow was 78 years of age in 1851 and then in Montgomery Co., KY.  One
    D.K. Stockton was Justice of the Peace for Fleming Co., KY in 1851, his
    relationship to the family is not shown.  In order to obtain information in
    regard to the location of the above noted land, you should adress the
    Commissioner of the General Land Office, Washington, D.C., citing the
    following; Warrant No. 29754-40 acres - Act of 1850. VTY, A.D. Hiller, Exec.
    Asst to the Adm."
