WOODLAND - Simeon Amos Lauder, 78, of Woodland R.D. died at 11:25 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17 following a short illness.  Mr. Lauder was born in Boggs Township August 30, 1878, a son of the late George W. and Elizabeth (Wisor) Lauder. He was a member of the Spring Valley EUB Church.  He was married to the former Issa Hummell on October 16, 1901.  The couple celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last October.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by the following sons and daughters: Miss Viola Lauder, Clearfield R.D. 2; Ms. Lena Stevens, Twelve Mile, Ind.; LeRoy Lauder, Wallaceton, Pa.; Hayes Lauder, Woodland R.D.; Mrs. Dorothy Wisor, Woodland; Mrs. Irene Cupler, Morrisdale; Mrs. Elizabeth Lumadue, Woodland, R.D.; Mrs. Kathryn Knepp, Altoona and Raymond Lauder, Wallaceton.  Other survivors include 20 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Isaac Sayers, Clearfield and Mrs. Howard Walk, Woodland R.D.  An infant son, three sisters and a brother preceded him in death.  Funeral services will be held from the Leavy Funeral Home Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Frank Hackett officiating.  Interment will be in the Bigler Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 oclock tomorrow evening; Thursday afternoon and evening and until time of services Friday.

WOODLAND - Mrs. Issa Lauder, 78, a resident of Woodland R.D. (Pine Top) Died yesterday at 6:40 p.m. in the Clearfield Hospital after being in ill health for two years.  She was born at Bigler March 14, 1883, a daughter of Jacob and Annie Wisor Hummel.  She was married at Buffalo, N.Y., in 1901 to Simeon Lauder, who preceded her in death.  Mrs. Lauder was a member of the Spring Valley E.U.B. Church.  Surviving are the following children:  Mrs. Ivan (Violet) Pifer, Lanse; Mrs. Edmund (Lena) Stephens, Camden, Ind.; Leroy, Wallaceton; Hayes, Woodland R.D.; Mrs. Clyde (Dorothy) Wisor, Woodland R.D.; Mrs. Wayne (Irene) Coupler, Morrisdale; Mrs. Jerome (Elizabeth) Lumadue, Woodland R.D.; Mrs. Harold (Catherine) Knepp, New Madison, Ohio; and Raymond, Morrisdale, R.D.  Also surviving are 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  A son preceded her in death.  Friends will be received at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clyde Wisor at Woodland R.D., from 7:30 tonight until time of services which will be held there on Friday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. J.F. Eminhizer officiating.  Interment will be made in the Bigler Cemetery.  Arrangements are in charge of the William W. Strange Home for Funerals at Morrisdale.

LANSE - Mrs. Violet Pifer, 64, died at 9:05 p.m. Thursday at the Philipsburg State General Hospital.  A daughter of Simeon and Essa (Hummel) Lauder, she was born March 26, 1906, in Bradford Township and was a member of the Lanse Evangelical Free Church.  Mrs. Pifer is survived her husband, Ivan, and two children: Raymond Lauder, Morrisdale, R.D.; and Mrs. Richard (Iona) Morris, Michigan Center, Mich.  Also surviving are two step-children, Mrs. Helen Snyder of Niagara Falls, NY and Lawrence Pifer of Bigler; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and these brothers and sisters:  Mrs. Lena Stephens, Westerville, Ohio: Leroy Lauder, Wallaceton; Mrs. Clyde (Dorothy) Wisor, Woodland; Mrs. Jerome (Elizabeth) Lumadue, Morrisdale; and Mrs. Harold (Kathryn) Knepp, Philipsburg.  She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.  Friends will be received at the William W. Strange Home for Funerals from 7:30 oher's household in 1930.  Her two children noted in her obituary from 1971 are listed on the census as Raymond and Iona Turner, although by the 1971 census her son was listed as Raymond Lauder:

WOODLAND - Hayes M. Lauder, 52, of Woodland R.D., died in his home yesterday at 5:30 p.m.  A son of the late Simeon and Issa (Hummel) Lauder, he was born at Woodland Sept 27, 1913.  A retired employee of the Harbison Refractories Co., he was a member of the Spring Valley EUB Church, the Old Town Sportsmans Club and a social member of the Sons of Italy Lodge, Clearfield.  Surviving are his wife, the former Agatha Duck; three sons, Denzel and Gerald, both of Woodland R.D., and James, Bigler; seven grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Leroy Lauder, Wallaceton; Raymond Lauder, Morrisdale R.D.; Mrs. Ivan (Violet) Pifer, Lanse; Mrs. Clyde (Dorothy) Wisor and Mrs. Jerome (Elizabeth) Lumadue, both of Woodland R.D., Mrs. Edmond (Lena) Stevens, Galvesta, Ind.; and Mrs. Harold (Katherine) Knepp, Ligonier.  Mr. Lauder was preceded in death by a son and a sister.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Bennett Funeral Home with the Rev. Harrison price officiating.  Interment will be in Bigler Cemetery.   Friends will be received in the funeral home after 7 p.m. today, tomorrow afternoon and evening and until the time of service Wednesday.
