CAN'T ACCOUNT FOR INJURIES RECEIVED BY WOODLAND MAN
Jesse Wisor of Krebs, aged about 48, is confined to the home of his brother, Foster Wisor, in Woodland today recovering from a severe laceration on the side of his face and neck as the result of what is said to have been a Christmas party staged somewhere between Woodland and Krebs early on Christmas Eve. Considerable mystery surrounds the manner in which Wisor received his injury and in spite of the fact that he claims he slipped and fell while on his way home and received the cut, invetigators are include to discredit his story and are working on the theory he was attacked and robbed. Only meagre details of the alleged party could be learned today. However, those in charge of the investigation learned that Wisor and two companions, whose identity is still a mystery, were together that evening and were apparently celebrating the Yuletide season. After spending some time in Woodland they disappeared and then nothing was seen of the trio again until Wisor's brother found him in a semi-conscious condition about mid-way between Woodland and Krebs later in the evening. The man was bleeding freely from the cut on his face and was taken to a physician in Woodland where he was attended to. When questioned later he admitted having $18 in hispossession when he started out with the men, which was missing when he was found. the fact that no trace of the missing money could be discovered led the investigators to believe that Wisoe had been attacked by his two companions and robbed. The entire case was reported ot proper authorities today and a thorough investigation is being made to learn if Wisor told a correct story of the incident or on the other hand to detemine whether there is sufficient evidence to substantiate the theory of robbery. No action will be taken until the case is thoroughly gone into. Meanwhile, Wisor sticks to his original story. No clues that might lead to the identity of the man's two alleged companions had turned up early today.
