Democratic Banner, Clearfield, PA 1 Jan 1848 DIED - At the residence of her son-in-law in Boggs township, on Sunday, the 26th day of December, ultimo, Mary Wisor, relict of John Wisor dec'd at the advanced age of 81 years - leaving a large circle of relatives and friends. The deceased was among the first settlers in the country - having came to it in the year 1804. there are but few who live to see a larger number of their own offspring than the deceased -- she being the mother of 10 children, 95 grandchildren and about 100 great grand children.
Question the birth year of the last several children listed as Catherine would have been 50+ years old.
Also show a date of death as 12 July 1852 -- not sure if one of the dates was simply a typo on the year or if the date of death was 12 July and the date of burial was 19 July.

An enumeration of the taxable inhabitants in 1809 included John Wisor. The population of the township at that time was about 175. By 1839 the part of Bradford Township that the Wisors lived in became Boggs Township. John Wisor Jr. was assessed for 112 acres, $224 and John Wisor Sr., one cow $12. A later assessment showed John Jr. with two cows, as John Sr. had died.
He married Mary Elizabeth Wilson 1780/85 . Mary Elizabeth Wilson was born at Pennsylvania 1766 .
