NOTE: Hardy Ross Gandy had a large farm overlooking Gandy Creek, in the southwest corner of Chilton (then Baker) County, not far from Plantersville, Dallas County. The Gandy family cemetery is on a hill, 500 or so yards from the site where their house stood. A road has since been made separating the cemetry and the old home site.
