Historical information included in notes. Baptism: 3 July 1921 by Arlin Bates - Recorded in Unity Ward Confirmation:3 July 1921 by L. E. Harris, Elder. Hazel received - State of Idaho Public School Diploma from Cassia County Idaho - 12 April 1929. 22 June 2002: We took Mother on a trip to Elba and Almo Idaho for a Green Family Reunion. Stopped at Elba and was able to see the home where Hazel was born. Her cousin Garth Parish had purchase back 2 acres of the farm, which included the house and out buildings. We were able to see the back portion of the home where Hazel was born and went into the newer front part. As she walked through she mentioned what area was the kitchen, bedrooms, living room and front porch. While riding around in the car she would tell Jilynn different stories about her childhood. The school reminded her of Grandpa Parish sometimes picking them up after school. Especially if the weather was bad. Grandpa was deaf and he would drive the wagon at a slow pace and the girls would say, "get up Star" to the horse to go faster. Eventully he would slow the wagon down and it would start all over again. She told Jilynn about she and some of their friends taking a picnic up the mountain on horseback. It started to rain and they had their picnic under a large rock. Later having to ride in the rain and the saddle kept sliding up to the neck of the horse and they would have to get off and re-adjust the saddle again. It was very muddy. The other two couples didn't have any trouble with their horses. Anyway, sloshing through the mud and sopping wet from the rain they arrived home a very sorry looking sight and Amber getting a good chuckle out of the whole thing.(Hazel's large brimed hat sagging and her friends sweater sleeves hanging down almost to his ankles would have been a sight to see.) She related to us the time she and Bernice milked Eveline Parish's cow. Eveline had been bragging how much more milk their cow could give than theirs. So they decided to play a trick on her and snuck into the pasture and milked the cow earlier. When they went to watch Eveline milk the cow - slim pickins. She didn't know what to think. Mother said it was really hard not to laugh. ------- Member of Kaysville 9th Ward - Kaysville Utah East Stake ------- Obituary: Hazel Glenn Green Ralph Hazel Glenn Green Ralph passed away August 29, 2006 in Layton, Ut.
