                   BIRTH, MARRIAGE, DEATH:  Schwartz 1804-1978, prepared by Sharon Schwartz
Aasheim, 8011 Northwest Drive, Des Moines, Iowa 50322 dated November 1978.  A
copy was given to Norma Pugmire by Dolly McFarling Wright of Mexico Missouri in
1994.

"Fronie" was a very small woman and smoked a clay pipe. When the pipe would go
out she'd let it turn upside down in her mouth and continue to carry it around.
Her father, James Smith owned the farm next to Balthaser Schwartz so this is
how Froni and John got to know one another.  Fronie died at the home of her son
Jim Schwartz.

BIRTH:  Tombstone lists her birth date as 1851.  All other sources say she was
born in 1852.  The federal census of 1870 lists Fronie's brith place as Iowa,
so it seems that the information on her tombstone at Brooks Cemetery concerning
her birthdate may be in err.
