Handwritten note:  Beata Peterson Erickson born the 13 of March 1844 in Julita, NyKojring, Sweden.  Baptized of C. Anderson the 16th of May 1879.  Confirmed of John A. Quist on the same date.

Obituary, Star Valley Independent, April, 1921:  Word was received in town Thursday morning of the death of Mrs. Bertha Erickson (or grandma as she is commonly known).  She died at the home of D. J. Clark, at which place she had been removed to a few days before in order to be closer to town so that the Relief Society sisters could help take care of her.
       Grandma was born in Sweden 76 years ago, and came to this country with her husband and family 37 years ago, residing in Richmond, Utah 20 years.  She moved to Star Valley and located in Freedom 17 years ago and has resided here until her death.  She leaves a husband, two sons, Carl and Robert, 35 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren to mourn her loss.  Her husband, Grandpa Erickson, has been an invalid for the past 13 years.  During that time Grandma has been constantly waiting on him, never complaining until a month ago when her health failed, and she gradually grew worse until the end. The funeral was held at the ward hall October 16.  The entire ward extended their sympathy to the bereaved family.
