mother's nickname is a nickname commonly used in England for Martha.
William and Martha's other children were all born in Freetown.  Thomas is
listed on all the census records, indicating his birth to be about 1836, 1837. This William and Matty have no other children, no marriage record, no vital records at all.  I believe Robertshaw and Robinson was interchanged in this family.  There is no other record of Robinsons or Robertshaws in Freetown except these records and the record for Robert Robertshaw's burial in 1831, which fits Robert's age (the father of William).
