Obituary, May 22, 1931: Ernest Summer Fisher, 55, of 90 P Street, Vice President and Director of the Utah Metal Flux Company, died at a local hospital at 12:20 p.m. Friday following an operation for appendicitis and stomach complications. Mr. Fisher had been connected with mine development work most of his life, living in Park City from 1915 to 1920, and he developed the process used by his company to flux metals in smelting. He had also been engaged in the mercantile business. He was an active member of the Church, serving in the superintendency of the M.I.A. while in Park City and going on two missions to the Southern States. Mr. Fisher was born in Coalville, the son of Joseph A. and Sarah L. Fisher, spending the early part of his life there. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nell Robinson Fisher, a son, Robbie; the following brothers and sisters: Joseph E. Fisher, Mrs. W. F. Smith, Mrs. Frank Croff, Mrs. O. S. Squires, all of Salt Lake, and William G. Fisher of Ogden. Funeral sersvices will be held from the Twenty-Seventh Ward Chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday. Friends may call at the residence from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Obituary: Mine Man's Rites Set for Sunday. Funeral services for Ernest Summer Fisher, 55, of 90 P Street, Utah mining and business man, will be held at the Twenty-Seventh Ward Chapel of the LDS Church, P Street and Fourth Avenue, at 2 p.m. Sunday. Bishop Jel Richads will officiate. City Judge Nephi Jensen will be the principal speaker. Friends may call at the resident from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Interment will be in the City Cemetery. Mr. Fisher, Vice President and Director of the Utah Metal Flux Company, died at a local hospital Friday.
